Practice Pumpkin Pie!
I usually find pumpkin pie a little bland, but this recipe was nicely spicy and sweet.
Made this the day before our "practice thanksgiving" meal. This could even be made 2 days ahead if you're trying to spread out your holiday cooking.
- Texture was runny but I think I may have forgotten the eggs (oops).
- I used a 9 inch Good Value (Walmart) crust and the pie:crust ratio was too high... You should spring for a 10 inch one from a legit source :)
- Wait for pie to completely cool before covering and storing! Unless you want the top to be all bubbly alien-egg looking.
1 15 oz can pumpkin puree (I used Libby's)
1 can condensed milk
1 t. ground cinnamon
1/2 t. ground ginger
1/4 t. nutmeg
Divine a pie crust from somewhere, and fill with filling.
425 for 15 min, then 350 for 30 min
Don't forget the eggs!
